"I'll Give You the Sun". I lost count from page 108. It's been about 4 days since I bought it, and I'm still surprised with how much of it I've read through with excitement, no bias, and patience. Reading hasn't felt this easy in so long. I honestly don't know what got into me. Or, maybe, it could be the book. Most of all, it could be the feeling of starting anew.
This week is the last complete week of 2018. It is literally d a y s until the 19th strike of the 2000's is barging in.
Maybe that's what, and that's why. Every page I finish leaves me a soft feeling of surprise and exhilaration. Again, it's because this supposedly familiar feeling hasn't felt familiar in so long. It felt like having the old reading side of me back, but without the big welcoming party. You know, I think that's the best part, actually-- the fact that it's not such a big thing. It just naturally clicked inside of me, as if it never left. Familiar, like I said.
Anyway, that's it. I'm having a writer's gush (word I created just now haha) because of the main character in this stupid Netflix show I'm watching. Sorry, Netflix gets creative but they all kind of feel like CS ones or just ya-almost-had-it stories. Might feel like another psychopath romanticization, but I'll try to heave through the entire pilot season.
