Hey!
We're halfway in 2018 and so much has already transpired:
You got answers to things that boggled your mind, confused your body, and were basically walking blurs that finally found some clarity. Yes, this is health-related. More than it was terrifying, it felt nice to have words to describe and identify things, at last.
You fell in love. Whether you admit it or not, your heart was bruised by a boy, in the words of Katy Perry in that song with one of her singer exes, "ain't the one that I saw coming". It was painful, but nothing with passion ever feels comfortable all the time anyway. He never loved you, and maybe you didn't too (can you tell you're still debating about it in your head?) but he was one minute close to it. That's what you get for breaking an innocent heart. Oh well. You loved, you learned, and at the end of it all, you both still care for each other. V e r b a t i m, "you never really stop caring, you know?"
You had the scariest experience of your life. Nope, this doesn't involve ghosts or any sort of "paranormal activity". It was you and... you know what it was. It was, perhaps, the first time you felt like you didn't have control over anything and everything, and it was so strong that all the bad things you thought you would never fall into, were just a snap away. It's okay. You found what was causing it now you've gotten rid of it. There are still some tiny pieces left, but they can fade away with good company and spiritual healing. God's got you.
And lastly! You got the opportunity of a lifetime! You didn't see this one coming too! Thank goodness you shot your shot, because now, you're one step ahead of y o u r s e l f! Being there was something you thought you could achieve after college, once you juggle a desk job at some marketing firm. And then you realize how great it is to be there and suddenly, that dream isn't that big of an option anymore. But wow, you're here. You can feel the future hug you with open arms. This is God's plan. Yes! Drake was right! God's plan! See what happens when you trust Him? You did your part, right? You did your best. And just like that saying, God really did do the rest.
So if there's one thing I have to share with you, it's that, although the storm was heavy and strong, it is necessary. And you can count on the fact that there're "a rainbow always after the rain". It doesn't rain forever. The sun will shine and you will be surrounded with warmth and color.
Everything works out in the end. And no, I'm not jinxing it! So here's to the rest of the year! It's time to kick ass!!!
Love,
Yourself, in the process of becoming better
