Halloween 2016: Playlists, Costumes, and Movies

Happy Halloween from Mia Wallace & Vincent Vega of Pulp Fiction!

Hello! It's been ages since I last posted here but at least I breathe life into it every now and then, right? As you all know, the Halloween Season is coming to a close and the long weekend is bidding its goodbye; but I know it's never too late to listen to some spooky songs, get dressed into some wicked costumes, and binge-watch a couple of spine-tingling movies!

So if you're looking for playlists, costume ideas, and films to celebrate the month of November, then I've got you covered!

Costume Ideas: My costume ideas are the two costumes I wore for Halloween this year. Feel free to cop them for next year!

"Besides, isn't it more exciting when you don't have permission?" -Mia Wallace, Pulp Fiction (1994)
If you wanna "get gory like a Tarantino movie", then this costume is perfect for you! My friend Jap suggested that we be Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega from Pulp Fiction, so I grabbed my black slacks and white long sleeves, had my nails painted the right color, borrowed one of my mom's rings, bought a hella expensive black wig, and went as the mysterious character portrayed by Uma Thurman! Jap DIY-ed his tie and we spent the night taking photos and seeing if people got the reference. These costumes are great for Pulp Fiction fans who wouldn't mind spending a couple of extra bucks on a wig or good suit! P.S. This was for a costume party our org hosted called "Reverb's Chills & Thrills". P.P.S. I don't smoke! I had to find for someone who had a cigarette and only used it as a prop. I never lit it up and I threw it away after the party.

"Please exercise your right to PURGE." The Purge (2013)

Purge, purge, purge! For the Monster RX 93.1 Halloween Party, fellow student jock Roman and I went as the couple from the first installment of The Purge movie franchise. We couldn't find the exact masks, and we didn't get to buy fake guns/machetes so we just went with axes. Still! I think this is an easy costume and a pretty cool one at that!
